First Mate Holo

So another post showing off my new polishes, yes as you may have guessed I have bought quite a few!
So this from ChG Anchors Away collection. This is as the tittle suggests First Mate. This is 2 layers of the gorgeous navy blue colour, and I am in love =) The blue goes on perfectly and could have stopped at 1 coat, but I have a thing for always doing 2.

Okay onto the Holo part of this mani. I really wanted the GOSH Holographic polish but as it has been discontinued, getting my hands on a bottle is proving very difficult. So I was very excited when I discovered I could get my hands on Orly's Prisma Gloss Silver. This is a topcoat with a difference. In the bottle, the glitter settles on the bottom and you can just see the clear polish, shake it up and magic happens!

As you can see from the photos, this is super sparkly, in some lights all you can see is the silver glitter.

But then the Holo shines through! Again in photos the holo shows up better in a blurred pic.

I absolutely adore this mani and it reminds me off a starry night. Hope you enjoy =)

Sparkle French Polish

I loved this mani, when do I not though! This was another mani suitable for work. I wanted to make it a bit more exciting so I added glitter =)

I started with ChG White on White on my tips, this was 2 coats. I then added a coat of SV. Okay on to the glitter, I bought a bottle of glitter from the Range, from the craft section. It was a white coloured iridescent glitter. So I painted over my dry tips with SV and sprinkled over the glitter and then blew off the excess. I then went over the glitter with SV to seal it in.

After the tips had dried I added a coat of my new Orly polish, Love Each Other. This is a clear base colour with a pinky, purpley, blue shimmer in it. In the bottle it looks quite purple, but on the nail it is really sheer. I only tried one coat, but I'm sure it would take about 4 coats to show up by itself and maybe 2 coats over another colour.
This is my tool kit for this mani. And below is the pile of glitter left over, I did it over kitchen paper so that it would be easy to tip the excess back into the bottle.

So after all that I finished off with my faithful topcoat SV.

Purple Pedi

I bought this colour as it was a little different to my usual picks and I am so glad I did, I love it! This is ChG Flying Dragon (Neon). This is two coats, which surprised me as it dried matte. So I added two coats of SV to make it sparkle.

After a few days, I got bored. What a surprise, NOT! So I added another new buy, Nina Ultra Pro Purple-Xing. This is a fabulous both in the bottle and on the nails. Its purple with silver glitter and then holo sparkles. The 1st pic shows up the glitter more.
I know this pic is terribly blurred but it actually shows up the holo colours the best =)

Hope you like =)

ChG Midnight Mission

This is one of my fravorite manicures to date and it lasted really well. I started of with two coats of ChG Midnight Mission and topped with a coat of SV. I had this for a few days before I bought ChG White on White and so decided to add some fauxnad, again I think this is my fravorite plate BM02. And then another coat of SV.

Harry the cat wanted to check out my mani 2, but got a bit shy when the photo was taken!

This mani lasted another few days, I thought I would freshen it up and so added a layer of Rimmel's Matte Finish. I added another fauxnad in Tesco's Spray but this didn't show up that well in the pictures.

Hope you like this mani as much as I did =)

ChG Awakening

One of my new polishes, China Glaze Awakening. This is a beautiful pink with gold. I had two coats of Awakening followed by a layer of SV.

Purple Checked Pedi

For this pedicure, inspiration came from Chloe's Nails

For some reason pedicures seem to happen in stages over a number of days. So I started out with a lovely creamy purple, Jessica's Purple Essence. This was two coats of Purple Essence and 1 coat of SV.

I did a taped design using Jessica (unknown) in the top left corner, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark in the top right, then ChG Bogie in bottom left and the original Jessica Purple Essence in the bottom right.

I think my taping needs a little more practice to get my lines completely straight, but I love the effect. Once again this was topped off with a layer of SV.

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark

I thought I would try out this new polish and I absolutely love it. I added 2 coats of OPI Lincoln Park After Dark and then a layer of SV to dry it. Sorry about the mess in the 1st two pics = pre clean up!

I couldn't resist having a play so I added some fauxnad flowers in Jessica's Purple Essence.

All topped off with another coat of SV. Hope you like.

Just thought I would show you the cupcakes I made for my Uncle's 50th Birthday. Hope you like.

Secret Peri-winkle

After getting my new ChG polishes I couldn't wait to try this colour out, its just beautiful =) Again I couldn't resit a little tweak so after 2 coats of Secret Peri-winkle I added matte tips with Rimmel's Matte Topcoat and then I used Tesco's Spray to add Konad Flowers.

China Glaze Haul

I found that many bloggers that I was following were from America and had some fabulous polishes, I then discovered that we can get some brands in England aswell YeY !!!! So off I went to ebay and found lots of good value China Glaze polishes and couldn't resit. So here is a pic of all the polishes that arrived through my door =)

These are in order. ChG : Secret Peri-winkle, High Hopes, Dynasty, Bogie, Emerald Fitzgerald, Tinsel, 5 Golden Rings and Midnight Mission.

In addition I discovered a new range of Crackle Glaze, these come in 6 colours and these are the two I chose to begin with. I shall add a post with both of these polishes later. They also receive lots of compliments as its hardly seen in England.

Subtle Work Nails

Due to staff policy I'm not allowed polish on at work, however I just can't resist a subtle design. I also discovered a new polish which I love, Rimmel's Matte Top Coat. This is great because it turns any colour polish matte, good to add another dimension to your manicure. So for this I started of with 3 coats of Stargazer 502 which is a pale cream pink. I then painted my tips with Rimmel's Ethereal (210). I painted my whole nail with the Matte topcoat, and painted my tips over with SV to make them shine.

I decided this wasn't enough and added a design from a Konad plate with Rimmel's Rose Libertine (405)
